Coming soon: 2WayTrust leadership

Over the past three years 2WayTrust has developed a series of distinctive behaviours that are designed to support Chief Executives and Executive Directors in leaving behind the low trust habits that prevent them from achieving higher performance. These arise from a series of Masterclasses that we have organised for Chief Executives on improving their performance as leaders, together with Pete Ashby’s work with top teams.

They represent the ten most difficult challenges that stand in the way of top teams achieving higher levels of performance:

  1. Assuming the best of others in our team
  2. Recognising our strengths and seeing that they can also be the cause of our weaknesses
  3. Being open about our under-performance
  4. Being open to being wrong
  5. Not having any hidden agendas
  6. Being curious to learn more about others' ideas and supportive when we challenge them
  7. Saying if we feel defensive - and checking there hasn't been a misunderstanding
  8. Holding back from closing down difficult discussions, at least until the core issue is clear
  9. Telling others if we have a problem with their behaviour
  10. Asking if we have caused anyone else any problems.

Based on these behaviours, we are currently developing 2WayTrust Leadership as a new offering for Chief Executives. This is being designed to help them improve performance through modelling high trust behaviours as a basis for cascading this practice across the whole organisation.
